What is a VOI?

When buying or selling property, one of the first step your conveyancer must perform is the Verification of Identity. The process of VOI can be performed in person or online through a third-party identifier.

A VOI protects both parties from potential land fraud, ensuring the seller has the right to sell the property. Once identity is verified, conveyancers are able act on behalf of their clients to lodge documents at the Land Titles Office, complete financial documents and other necessary step in the conveyancing process.
